SONJA VUKICEVIC

Member of The National Ballet Theatre and one of the best choreographers today.
As a member of the Belgrade National Theatre, she played the entire classical and neo-classical repertoire. Her most distinguished roles were as Marta in “Zizela”, Darinka in “Darinkin bar”, and Debora in “Golem”, Aphrodite in “Trijumfi Afrodite” and Capitan Cook in “Peter Pan”. She starred in ballet plays “Popodne jednog fauna”, “Ohridska legenda” as well as ballet divertissement in opera “Carmen”. She was awarded for all her roles. She worked on choreography for drama plays directed by leading directors of the region and the world. Important part of her creative opus represents choreography in drama plays of Yugoslavian Drama Theatre, from the beginning of ’80. By mid ’90, she starts on solo chorographical and directing career in the Center for Cultural Decontamination in Belgrade.
She actively cooperated with Tomaz Pandur (Hazarski recnik, Sto minuta, Caligula). To proposition from Vida Ognjenovic, she created a project “Circus History”, honoring 40 years of BITEF.
